We survived the storms

It really has been mad mad weather down here.  I don't think I've ever been in anything like it.  We got away quite lightly as we live on top of a hill so had no chance of being flooded.  I feel so bad for all the people that have.  We had a couple of power cuts which made cooking difficult but with our new wood-burner to keep us warm and plenty of leftover tea lights from various weddings, we were fine.

Yesterday at last the sun came out, and it's still here today. AMAZING!

We've got some friends visiting, who braved the storms to come and cheer us up in gloomy February.  And they definitely did.  Board games, winter olympics, plenty of good food, chatting and a day out walking on The Lizard yesterday have been good good good for the soul.

I didn't get pictures of the storms and huge waves, to be honest I stayed in as much as possible and didn't want to ruin my camera. Or die. But I do have some of our lovely walk yesterday...
